This sense of home is what I try to bring to my landscape photography. We are, after all, only one small thread in the great web of nature. In those times when I’m lucky enough to be immersed in our natural world, I feel that interconnectedness as a strange combination of pride and humility - pride in knowing I have a place in these things, and humility in recognizing what a small place that is.
It’s that balance that I try to convey in my landscape photography. Whether through a sweeping mountain vista, a close-up of a flower, or somewhere in between, I allow my awe and appreciation of our natural environment to guide my lens.
